half shaft joints

I hear a clicking noise on the rear of the car, i know it's coming from the half shaft joints but can't tell if it's driver side or passenger.
I did a visual inspection and so far i didn't see any cracks, leaks or any abnormal wear..anyone who can give me advice on how to
detect a bad cv axle joints? thanks everyone!

The grease inside can be totally fucked without a tear in the boot.

Rebuild them before parts inside go poof

Usually the passenger inner joint is the first to fail. Look very carefully for dried grease residue around that boot, sometimes it leaks so slowly that it is tough to detect.
