My car has sat the last few months without a tender ( I know not good gotta get one) so it was nice today and I wanted to wash it. So I pushed it out washed it up then jumped it to pull it back in. I let it idle while drying then when I pulled it in I noticed the abs light is on. So the question is could this be from trying to start the car with not enough juice? Will jumping cause it done how? Or did this somehow just happen at the same time? Should I reset it and see if it comes back on?
Thanks for the help,

A few questions:

Did the pump run for two minutes proir to the light coming on?
Did you pull the code?
Any fluid on the ground in front?

same problem with my 03 just last month but my eps light came on.
If you have a early model manual eps was not available.

Larry, I'm not sure if the pump ran I jumped the car, then let it run while I dried it off after washing. Then when I went to pull it in I noticed the light was on. I haven't got the code yet I know I should of checked by now but got busy with work. I'm going to check the code tomorrow.
A friend told me his abs light came on after getting jumped but after driving the light went away!? He told he to drive it and see. But I'm getting the code just so I know.
Thanks and I will try to get more info for you.

Bangbang, I have a 91 auto so it does have eps. I don't know if the battery has a bad cell or not. I'm going to charge it with the charger and see if it holds. What cleared the eps light for you? Just curious.
Thanks for the info.

Yes it's a ABS light not EPS light. And good news it went away, I started the car and it was gone. I guess just from jumping the car or trying to start it on a low battery caused it.
