I occasionally receive the P0420 (Rear Cat. System Efficiency Below Threshold) code.
In researching catalytic converters, 02 sensors, and related emission topics, I discovered a wealth of posts concerning 02 sensor and catalytic convertor work-arounds. (For example, 02 sensor extensions; straight pipes; electronic O2 simulators; etc.)
Provided one were to pursue an alternative solution, any advice from those of you have successfully implemented one - or more - of these options?
It seems to me the quickest (and cheapest) solution would be to simply install an O2 sensor extension (as offered here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=250212137961&rd=1). But does it really work?
