I was at Buttonwillow with my NSX in the Intermediate group with a GTR behind me. My instructor was in the passanger seat and we came on to the front stretch, and I lifted the throttle and waved the GTR by... my instructor was like "What the hell are you doing? Never lift for a GTR! They're going to blow by you regardless!!":tongue:

The next time I didn't lift, and my instructor was right... it didn't seem to make a difference in how quickly he passed me.:redface:

And looks good. I can keep up with a stock GTR fairly well but if I saw one... I'd wave and give the guy a thumbs up and acknowledge his nice car... not stare ahead and still try to race my clearly slower car, and get my ass beat.

Ya, I wave the GTR by on the long straights at the track to without hesitation. Doesn't matter to me.

You are saving your NSX's engine for later when it can be put to better use.

It's somewhat like how Schumacher doesn't downshift one gear at a time and blip the throttle after each shift, since there is no benefit to lap time but it increases engine wear.

Probably GT-One F1, GT-Design Extreme or Pride.

Only the "pretzel" exhausts produce that kind of high pitched sound.
