I apologize. I tried to change my email address but my acct. got locked till I confirmed it.

The update as of today: shipment still in custom, ETA date should Friday 07/06. I'll start a new thread as soon as I hear the exact date.

As far as the exhausts, 4 are coming with the shipment, 2're pre-sold. I can take 50% down or full payment for the exhaust to reserve for yours. Thanks.

hey matt, you going to love the 5.1 sound when u get it. i love mine.

I still waiting for mine to get here dammit. The stupid ass FedEx delivery guy is a moron.

Did you put test pipes on your Steven? I dont have any test pipes yet, and I was curious how the F1 sound is with the stock cats in place. Is it still loud and raspy like a track car?

Thanks,
Nathan

Nathan,

Did you get yours yet? Being in SoCal, I will need to keep my cats...I'm trying to figure out if I'll still get the "F1" sound, or if I'm wasting my money, and should just get a Taitec instead.

Let me know!!! I just placed a deposit on one

Don't feel bad, believe it or not I am still waiting for mine. I heard it in person and it's definitely worth the wait.

Rob,

Yes I received mine and we installed in a couple of days ago. Here is my review thus far.

Upon starting the car up the exhaust tone was very subtle and smooth. Lightly blipping the throttle the tone then became smooth and raspy. After a few seconds of letting the car warm up, I hit the throttle to 4k, and WOW. Hello F1 sound. Very raspy and very intoxicating. It was fabulous.

So now I get the car out on the road. Keeping it below 3k rpms in my neighborhood (after 11pm at night), the tone is subtle and raspy. Once I get out onto the main street and punch it, the F1 sound stands out quite nicely until my CTSC kicks in. Once the CTSC kicks in it is tough to hear the sound over 6k rpms. So, we proceed to a tunnel. I smash it in the tunnel and yep, the F1 sound is there and it is not too loud.

It has been over 48 hours since i have put it on, and the tone has gotten a bit more loud now. This is probably due to the initial burn in needed to break in the exhaust. The tone is fabulous, but still not loud enough for me, since once my CTSC kicks in, it sort of drains out the exhaust note. If you dont have a CTSC, then you will be very happy with the sound. I will be putting on test pipes to complete my wanna be F1 audible pleasure. And we all know how this exhaust sounds with test pipes

So, an answer to your question Rob is get it. I do not think you will be disappointed. The exhaust has no drone, and you will waste a half a tank of gas revving your motor at every stop light just to bask in the audible sex that is GT-ONE v5.1. I have heard the Taitec GTLW, and while it is great, it does not have the raw sound that the V5.1 produces.

If you dont like it, then I am sure you can sell it quick for what you paid.

But, I dont think that will happen
I hope this helps, and let us know what you decide.

Thanks,
Nathan

+1 ON THAT ~~ I LOVE MY V5.1 it sounds so good make me wanna drive my car everyday now!! lol

I've been looking at (and listening to :D) the Ver 5.1 Exhaust. Absolutely amazing sound. However, I'm concerned about several issues:

1) I've got an '05 with a CT intake, SC, headers, exhaust. I've been told that it's imported to use an exhaust with big enough pipes that won't cause excessive back pressure for the SC. Does the Ver 5.1 exhaust have at least as much flow as does the CT exhaust?

2) Can the EVCS be used with the Ver 5.1? How is it installed? And will it cause additional back pressure?

3) I noticed on the gtoneuse.com website that they say the following for the F1 Series - Ver 4, "Please check your local laws. When using this on public roads a catalyst might be required." This seems to imply that a CAT (OEM?) can be run with it. Is this the case? How would the CAT get installed? Could the Ver 5 also utilize a CAT?

4) The NA2 2000 NSX's and above have a bigger CAT. The headers are shorter as a result. Will this be an issue for the Ver 5 exhaust?

thx...
