GTA Meet and Greet Saturday June 4th

Following up on some conversations, posts and PMs with Chris (slightlyevil), Bram and Owen if anyone is interested in a Saturday June 4 a.m. coffee/drive please respond to this post. For those of you who are not aware I'm an expat Torontonian now living in Michigan and have a Formula Red /94. I will be in Toronto on the weekend of June 4 and it would be nice to meet some of my fellow NSXCC members. I'm not sure as of this writing of the exact time/meeting place/route for a drive. I'm hoping Owen can suggest a good meeting spot and time. Hoping to meet some of you soon.

I am in.

I think Richmond Hill around Highway 7 and Bayview would be nice meeting spot. There is a Starbucks and Tim's at that northwest corner. We can do a meet and greet first, then head out for a cruise.

There are nice roads in markham (woodbine north of 16 and cut back across Bloomington side road and up through Aurora Rd to Dufferin then come back across through Mulock and down through Leslie finishing near where we started in Richmond Hill. The route is about 45mins total.

I am in. I live in Markham so would prefer Joy2Drives suggestion and have driven the roads he suggested. There is a Tim Hortons at the North East corner of Woodbine and 16th. If you're lowered however you want to access the lot via woodbine rather than 16th.
 
I'm in! I'm easy, don't mind where we meet. Can't drive this thing enough! :D

Perhaps let's find out where's best for Jeff since he's coming all the way from Michigan and may not feel like driving all across the GTA from wherever he is located while in town.

Having said that, the Milton/Halton Hills area north of Oakville/Burlington/Sauga definitely has nicer roads than we do north of Vaughan/R.Hill/Markham if we choose to do a cruise - so I'm with Bram on that one.

Just sayin'. :P
 
Whatever works for the majority of the participants will be absolutely fine with me. Chris, glad you are enjoying your new toy!

In that case, my vote goes to Bram's suggestion - but at this point I'd drive to the Grand Canyon if someone suggested it...

There's some nice places to stop for a bite and take some photos too out in the Halton Hills/Milton area, Lowville, etc.
 
I live(d) in Halton Hills and know all the great roads and would be able to meet out there early for a drive..........weather pending as I'd be coming from Niagara area........Good breakfast stop at Trafalgar/401 where we can all meet??????
 
These causal events are cool with already 7 cars.

My preference is definitely RH/Markham/Vaughan, but west does have better cruising roads as we found out at fall cruise last year. Lets decide once more people have signed up. I am building a list.

Just to clarify, this is NOT an official NSXCC event so anyone is welcome. As Jeff suggested, we are just gathering for a meet and greet breakfast plus a cruise so this will be very casual and perhaps half a day (8-11am).

Glad to hear Shawna is plannig to come out for this. I will bring your club sweat shirt.

Chris, I pretty much did drive from the Grand Canyon back to Michigan in the NSX. I'll tell the gang about that adventure when we all see each other. And as for location anything is fine with me. It will be great to meet some fellow Canuck NSX owners. Looks like we are building some critical mass here. We did a meet here in MI last fall and I think we had somewhere around 18 NSXs show up -- was very neat.

Guys............I can help with the route (did a NSX cruise there 2 yrs ago - remember :biggrin:)..........Let me know if you want some input or help so can start planning it.......if not, let us all know where to meet and I think meeting for breakfast first would be nice to a) fill up on food b) meet new members c) fill up on food especially when I'll have over an hours drive to get there and that will give all the more reason to eat :>)

Since you know the area better that most, can you plan a route...There are some great driving route in this are...you know where at the Bike people go.

Yes we can meet for breakfast at 401/Trafalgar area.

Funny you say that because a member here name his car exactly that (2nd wife) so that would be yes for him if he comes out. Karen will probably stay home with the baby so no for me.

That would be great if Shawna can put a drive together. We should consider keeping the cruise to within an hour and end near the tip of the 410 perhaps.
 
Maybe Ill pop by since its in my area... will be one of the last meets for me in this country.

Zak, that would be great since I'd still like to hear what your Comptech exhaust sounds like. Even if you don't make the gathering if ok with you can I drop by your place and hear the exhaust on Saturday afternoon? PM me, thanks.

so where is the meet location going to be? I don't think Ill cruise, just meet in the morning
 
Lets gather all the takers before deciding where we meet. So far seems to be 50/50 between Halton Hills/Richmond Hills. I am indifferent provided we are driving through some fun roads after breakfast.

It really depends if we are all interested in a 45-60 mins cruise. Jeff was the original poster and he seems to be onside where ever we decide as he just want to meetup with some locals. I have updated my post atop to reflect everyone's preference on meeting point. So far, it would appears we are meeting in Halton Hills (Trafalgar/401) and will be cruising in that area.

EDIT: For clarity and ease of sign up, we will meet in HALTON HILLS as our starting point. Hope Sean B, Zak and Manuel can still come out. Ravi you too.

My shop is in Oakville (Lakeshore & Trafalgar), and I close at 5pm. I might be able to duck out around 4:30pm and hook up with You guys. I'll touch base with Bram.
