Does anyone have any information / history on this car?
GTA Exotics has a ’95 with 55,000kms for sale for $39,000.
Poor car.
It has had a “Maaco” paint job. Obvious body damage as no two body pieces line up.
Both bumpers have not been put on correctly.
The interior is in a major state of wear. I can’t believe someone would destroy a car like this. It may have had the odometer altered. As well as a major accident.
You would not believe the paint job, they actually painted over the dirt!
Brakes have been replaced with after market calipers and rotors.
VIN JH4NA1185ST800046
The story is " it was previously owned by a Toronto Argo.
I don't even think it would be a good parts car...

Let me say that this is the first NSX I ever had the pleasure of driving. Even in a poor condition, this was a fun car. I rented this during the Canada Day weekend in 2007, to ask my now wife to marry me.

When I rented this car, it had 68,000km on the odometer, not 55. The horn buttons were missing, the power steering was broken, and it had the cheapest, gaudiest chrome wheels ever seen slapped on there. The car was originally red (Look under the fore targa gasket on the window frame for proof). On top of that, as you mentioned, the interior was in very poor tick, even for a rental.

I was considering this car right after I rented it, but I really wouldn't give him $20k for it, never mind the $45k he was asking at the time.

On top of that, several weeks after I rented the car, I saw a charge for $425 on my visa. When I called to ask them what it was, I was told it was for parking in a handicap spot somewhere in Toronto (Can't remember where exactly). Thing of it was, I wasn't in Toronto at all that weekend, rather between Guelph and my parent's house. They told me I was the only one to rent it within the last year, and it had to be me. Upon further probing, they told me the ticket was levied on June 6th. This is a full three and a half weeks before I picked the car up. They begrudgingly applied the refund to my account after about three phone calls.

Suffice it to say, I won't be using their services again.

I've had a small "dealing" with James Prosser, the principal of GTA Leasing and what I can tell you is that he misrepresented the reasons for meeting him (he was looking for me to finance his deals, I wasn't a renter) and then did things that grossly abused our "relationship" (which I was aware of, but allowed him to lie to me just to see where he was going with it)

I'd expect him to lie, misrepresent, and overall be a bad guy - I wouldn't rent a kids bike from him never mind consider buying one of his cars.

Another fact, from experience, Argos, who are "well paid" in the CFL, earn $45-60k a year, with the top paid guy, Pinball, earning $125k - I'm looking for two CFL players who have f-ked off with their cars - when they get cut there is no other job for them since they generally get hired out of high school or early on in University and have no other marketable skills - they like to ACT like Ballers - but I wouldn't sit in one car we repo'd from a CFLer - it was gross, like animals lived in it.

Aside, you don't get that much wear on the leather seats after 55k kms, it looks like the 150-200k+range.

Stuart and Dave will tell you he painted the car yellow, because he thinks yellow NSXs are faster. That paint job must have added 3.2 horsepower!

I think that car is worth 12-15 based on "true mileage" of prolly 150+ and the condition.

Guys, never buy a car from a company that rents out exotics by the hour.

That poor NSX has had a tougher life than Stu did before he escaped from the Thai brothel.

I thought Stu bought that Thai brothel when it was in receivership, and converted it into a Thai bath house. Am I wrong?

Yes, we're franchising now - Its called, "Thai You Up" and Dave keeps asking if he can be one of the Girlie-Boys - I'm Ok with it, if he buys a franchise

hey Guys, I also looked at that car last fall when it was posted on Kijiji for 25000, from about 100 feet it had some potential, just as long as you didnt get any closer too it!
i wanted an nsx so bad i was temped to offer something around the $50.00 mark as even if i put another 25000 into it i would have been embarrassed to bring it anywhere.
I was the second nsx i had driven in my search, and it actually didnt drive too bad.......untill now having my 91 i realized how much better a nicely maintained nsx can drive.
Totally stay away from this one, I waited and I am so glad I did as I found a much, much better car for pretty much the same money.
eddy

oh yeah the funniest thing was the aftermarket hood had the absolute cheapest non stainless steel metal grilles inserted with about 10 lbs of goop holding them in place.....and the kicker was that one grille was postioned horizontally and the other was vertical........nice
