Well after like 3 months of having this diffuser, me and some friends finally got the time to put it on.

We had to do some custom fabrication. Apparently the side fins of the diffuser was hitting the brake line, so we have to dremel some of it off to make it fit. I know it hurts to actually cut off some CFRP but we had no choice.
Unless we made some custom brackets to actually let it hang lower, but if that was possible than the diffuser would be scraping all over the place.

For the rear, we also had to cut off some of it to compensate for the lower piece of the rear valance. If this was not done than the diffuser would be sitting diagonally (SW to NE) which would not be pretty on speed bumps.

This part was a lil diffucult cause we had to bolt it down at an angle with all the crap in the way :(

I ordered some pizza, and some more hours of fabbing/bitching and you get

And the finale

Looks very cool.

Couple of observations:
-what kind of exhaust is that, and are the inner tail pipes silenced? They look like they have a smaller bore.

-the valence is slightly crooked. It hangs lower on the right compared to the left.

Cheers

Nice looking components. Looks way too low though, especially the leading edge which looks about one inch lower than the subframe:eek:

Regards,

Danny

wow... that's a great looking diffuser... aggressive!

The exhaust is a GT-One F1 sound muffler version 4 , titanium version
yes the inner tail pipes are silenced because leaving them all open is super loud. Same size bore for all 4 tips

the valence looks crooked because the angle i took the pic, apparently my left hand is lazier than my right :)

For the expense one would imagine it would not have these basic fittiment issues; perhaps it is just a generic piece being resold by gtrom?

It will look better with a bit of adjustment, fwiw.

exactly, I thought it would be like "drill the holes and mount this thing on!"

This was the last piece i had to wait for, this piece was made on order.

what type of adjustment are you talking about?

yea it does look low, lucky enough I did not scrap it over a speed bump
the diffuser is not under the subframe, it starts right after it so no problems there.
only problems was it was hitting the brake lines which we had to fix

and to everyone thanks for the comments, who knows what's next :)

Looks like its 114,000 Yen now.

I think SOS also sells this, alot easier than doing your own jdm dance.

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything but the angle of the camera won't have any effect a line being straight or not on a still object.
I agree that is looks crooked and angled down more on right side than left. Are all the attaching bolts and washers supposed to be that visible?

I myself is sometimes a perfectionist. I hate things being out of order or not precise.
On the brackets have different holes where you can bolt the screws into adjust the height if needed.

but one reason I found why it is a little crooked is because we need to fabricate the diffuser one more time to make it totally even on one side.

so the install will still be continued

Inexpensive cameras and lenses frequently introduce distortion into images (bend straight lines depending on the angle of the camera or section the given part is framed in). Here are some examples of such distortion.

just took more pics today, if it scrolls too slow, you can speed it up on the bottom left corner
