grrr... failed emissions because of tape on the evaporator hose

grrr... took my car to emissions, and it passed the emissions part, but failed the inspections piece because of electrical tape on the evaporator hose.

replaced the hoses, and now have to do it again.

what fun...

What are your fun emissions testing stories?

A/C Evaporator hose? or EVAP system hose?

I get cars in all the time that have Transmission shift failure codes set in the ECU and then with the Check Engine lamp on you instantly fail the test.

took a real brain surgeon to think that one up..oh wait it was the California Air Resources Board!!...since our Emission laws came direct from Cal
