I noticed that when I stared the engine the parking light with the brake light indicator did not turn off even after realising the hand brake.

So I restart the engine but releasing the hand brake first and the problem goes away. I did check at the workshop to see if any of the brake lights is not working and even replace all of them together with new sensors.

I guess it has to do with the grounding. I check the manual and it show that the grounding point is below the hand brake. My question now is there anything else I have to look out for.

Second problem is the high mounted tail light. A week ago I noticed that the HMTL (High Mounted Tail Light) has gaps (absence of lights) in between. What is the counstruction of the bulb/bulbs? Do I have to replace the whole thing or can I just replace the burn out bulbs (if there is one)?

Hi Jin1976, Have you fix or find out your Park/Brake Indicator light problem yet? I live with those problem "Tail light + Park/Brake light on" since I bought my NSX 18mths ago. It just happen two weeks after I bought the car.
By releasing the handbrake first b4 you start the engine, just a temp solution, its no longer work any more on mine after the 1st mth.
I been on this forum for quite some times, and done many search, seem no one have the exact same problem like us. I believe there must be someone who know how to fix it. If not, then we have to help ourself

Not yet. But for the mean time I just have to release the hand brake first. I think the only way is to open up the hand brake cover (whatever it is call) and check if the wire is ok or not. Refer to the manual for the procedure. i'm just not sure if there is anything else that I have to check.

I you guys are reading this please advise.

I'm starting to have the same problem though it's still benign. I would be interested in permanent solution also.
