I got some grease from brake boots onto my wheels, and i am wondering what the best way is to clean them off? I was told to use simple green, not sure what that is, but i dont' want to risk stripping any clearcoat or whatever protection is on the wheels.

I have aftermarket 17/18,

any suggestions?

ANy good soap should do the job.

Dishwashing detergent is great as it has a degreaser in it. It will remove wax so you may need to rewax the wheel if it has been previously waxed.

It won't harm the finish.

What finish is the wheel?
For painted or machine finish use WD-40.
For polished use wheel polish cleaner.
For Chrome use any type of cleaner.
