It was a pain.... the front bar was the worst. I opted to take the plastic piece out and then put it back in but the AC lines prevented me pulling it down and out. was gonna remove the radiator but I didn't feel like draining fluid. So I opted to take the front bumper off. (good thing I did).

I put the mounts on, then had to use a cut-off wheel to sand down that extra bit of metal. Then, the holes on the bar itself didn't line up. So then I had to actually widen the holes on the bar itself to make it line up.

My question is... has anyone had this much trouble before?

thanks,

Front R bar

Yes, I did exactly the same mod on the bar to get it to fit. There seemed to be an extra layer of aluminum under where the top of the bracket mounts to the frame. I had to slot the holes in the bar about 8 mm and trim the end of it to fit.

I do notice the increase rigidity in the front end, it has quieted some of the dash noise under hard cornering. Nice part, pain in the ass install!

thanks for the responses guys. I thought i was going crazy having to do so much to put this ONE bar on.

thanks again,
