Once again the Sacramento Area Miata Owners Association (SAMOA) is presenting its annual track day, Got Guts At Thunderhill III. This year's event will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at Thunderhill Park in Willows, California. We will also be conducting a raffle at the event, and all proceeds will once again benefit the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
This is the third year we have conducted this track day, and it has been extremely successful. Almost $20,000 has been raised since June, 2006 for medical research. Thank you for your past generosity in supporting the cause for a cure for IBD.
Here are the details:
The event website is www.gotgutsatthunderhill.com. It will be held at Thunderhill Park, Willows, CA on Monday, April 21, 2008. The price is $235.00 and includes lunch, fluids and snacks. The format provides for 3 run groups (advanced and 2 intermediate groups, 6 20-minute sessions each, plus 1 combined 30-minute session. We will run the full track, counterclockwise, through the cyclone, no chicanes. Safe open passing for the advanced group, and passing zones with pointbys for the intermediate groups. All makes and models of track-capable cars are welcome. Drivers and passengers must be at least 18 years of age. Advanced drivers must have 7 or more prior track days, and intermediate drivers must have 3 or more prior days of track experience.
