Well,

It's really a great car. I've been thinking about getting into something else for about a year, though the NSX has been a lot of fun, I am not a very "loyal" owner. I've had the NSX for four years, so it was time to move on (I get bored with pretty much anything eventually). I've jumped ship to the Porsche camp. I purchased an '04 Boxster S "50 Years of the Spyder" anniversary edition (that's a mouthful) from a dealer in Detroit.

I'm sure many of you know about the Anniversary Boxster, but for those who don't...

It's a Boxster S with...

+6hp from 987S air intake (took me a lot of research to figure out where that came from)
GT Silver Paint (at the time of production, limited to the Carrera GT and 40th anniversary 911)
10mm lower sport suspension ROW030
18" Carrera wheels w/ 5mm spacers
Stainless sport exhaust
PSM (porsche stability management)
Sport Seats with painted seatbacks
Painted rear center console
Bose stereo
15% shorter shifter
Silver painted brake calipers
Special Cocoa leather and top (everywhere)
Mesh diffuser inserts
Heated seats
etc...

It's basically a very sweet Boxster

Very nice interior!!! Enjoy!!! and stay in touch with Prime!!

Nice Boxster S. They seem to be going for around $38k which is a pretty good deal.

Thanks. I think the hardest thing about selling the NSX is the experience of being part of Prime and dealing with guys like Chris at SOS.

If I can ever afford an '02+ with a CTSC, I might be back. Don't hold your breath; I'll be going to business school (MBA) soon. That'll take a couple years.

Peace.

looks good. BUTTT you will be back. And as good as it looks i cant believe you chose this over the nsx.

As someone who has actually owned an NSX that is now 12 years old for four years, has owned two other roadsters that I really loved(Miata Sport and Z3 2.5i Dinan Signature), owned a Benz C55AMG and put some serious high speed miles on recent Ferarris, 911 turbos, Vipers, Vettes, Mustang Cobras and the odd Ford GT, I'm ecstatic about my choice.

Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and if the time is "right" as your signature suggests it may someday be, my NSX is for sale.

I'm pretty sure you've heard the saying, "Never put down another man's car."
Learn it.Know it.Live it.

i kinda have to agree with you on this!! the nsx looks way better and sexier than the boxster!

I'm married. How sexy I, or the cars I driving, look is irrelevant.

Get in touch with me...I have a 94' Berlina black, and would be willing to purchase a few things from you! BTW, good luck with the new car purchase!

Add me to that list too, please.

What made you to jump ship into a 986? That 04 is really a nice one, but to be honest it's still a 986. I thought about getting a 986 before, and do a bunch of tricks on it (hint hint 997 front end conversion), but at the end of the day, I know I would not be content.

I sold my NSX a year ago for a 996. Found a 01 996 C2 with Aero Kit and PSE last December. Sold it last Sunday. Yes, 3 months of ownership and I'm done with it. Without a question, the 996 is a great sport car and it outperforms the NSX in acceleration, braking, and corning however; I have to worry about when do I need another RMS (rear main seal), when will I have engine failure (intermix issue) and need a new engine. I can't really enjoy the Porsche at all.
