well not really gold, but close enough.

before the weekend hit, I decided to play around with some of the parts I had on hand.
2004 Imola Orange presented here with JDM NA2 Type-R Carbon Fiber hood.

the fitment is good, just need to be painted to match. already speed tested at 180mph. the hood stays shut, and car is stable.

enjoy.

Very nice!
Awesome colour! I had a similar colour on my previous car, a 300ZX.

But please paint the hood.

I don't know. Honda did the same to the NSX-R CF hood.

Why would anyone paint carbon fiber parts.

Leave it this way.. just perfect.

because carbon will deteriorate very rapidly in sunlight, regardless of UV protective clearcoats.

carbon fiber pattern is very mesmerizing, but wont last too long in the sun.

if the car was black, i would get it clear-smoked
or if the car was white.
this look, looks good on high contrast, or low contrast cars.
but no in betweenies.

but since the imola orange is metallic and shifts colors in the sunlight, it looks a lot better painted to match. trust us.

we always do the female test. If the ladies like it, then its good.

25mm H&R spacers all around.

Evo, great looking ride! I'm not a fan of orange, but damn! Put an Imola in front of that orange and you have a masterpiece! Well done. That hood is a nice touch.

thats a good one!
so i supposed you took off those OZ and went back to your HRE?

Yes... I actually have quite a bit 'in the mail'... I won't be able to make SCA tonight, but the hood goes on this Monday, along with the HRE's, then the spoiler I talked briefly to you about will be installed at the end of the month... I also am replacing my sparco shifter with a sos/zanardi.

i saw the hood at the paint shop and its going to look pretty damn good when its on.

i would go with the JDM NA2 Type-R knob.
it beats the Zanardi hands down.
Zanardi sucks.

Mike called me last night, they keep cutting little bits and pieces off the scoop

I have to decide between the BYS style spoiler, and a type R style spoiler... I should get the FRP spoiler in the next few days, then I will verify fittiment, etc.

Wow. Looks good! Are there spacers on those 2002+ JDM wheels? They look pretty flush with the fender.
