Good video on left foot braking

Nice video. I did this when I was 16 (almost 40 years ago) and driving automatics and thought I knew what I was doing - which I didn't. Now when going into corners I use it because the - off brake & onto throttle - seems seamless in motion = very smooth (atleast when I get it right).

I have a hard time left foot braking in the NSX because the pedals are so close. Good for heal and toe, bad for left foot.

yeah i can't do it either in the nsx, the brake is too far on the right of the footbox so i can't reach it with my somewhat splayed feet. but i LFB when i drive my wife's car or my truck (automatics) to develop the necessary sensitivity so i'll be at least a little bit ready in my next car. got my bmwcca club racing license today, if i can find a buyer for my car i'm going racing!

Re: IndyCar LFB

They had a lipstick cam showing Danica Patrick's LFB at Watkin's Glen today. You could see her left foot "hovering" (making sure she was staying off the brake) on the straights. That's gotta be tough for almost 2 hours. Cramping is a concern for my 30 minute races.

I'm a believer in LFB, but our FM track record holder is not. He thinks it's too easy to drag the brakes with the left foot especially late in the race when you're tired.

That left foot braking and heel toe transition sure looks tricky
