Hello guys,

I'm just curious on what the best wheels for track is? the stock 15 16's are the best for others, I believe? What do you guys think, I stick with that or are there better options? I don't really care about the looks as long as it's simple, nothing fancy. More of the practicality of getting better wheels for track. :)

Enki makes some nice wheels for the NSX and are very reasonably priced.

For the money the enkei's are a good choices....otherwise you can go with with volk ce's.

For the money you really can't beat the stock '91-93 wheels. It's not hard to find serviceable sets of four for $200 or so. They're lightweight. There are plenty of R compound track tires available in the stock '91-93 sizes. And you can fit the entire set of track tires inside your car, so you can drive to the track on your street tires, instead of using up the expensive track rubber.

I use ssr comps from tire rack 17/17 pretty cheap and light.

Team Dynamics Pro Race v1.2 17/18's

Used as an OEM supplier for Lotus wheels, they're also used in several European race series... good-looking, lightweight, inexpensive.

Throw on some Falken 615's and you're GTG.

I run Technomagnesio's as well as Enke RPF1 17 x 17. 235 front tire and 275 rear tire. This is a great way to go.

I agree, in addition the light weight and small diameter of the stock wheel make a big difference to acceleration on tight tracks.

what's a good r compound tires for our 91-93 wheels?

thanks for the input guys! if you know anyone selling used rpf1, I would love to have a set of that too. Look good and won't be too tucked like our stock rears.

i just got off of a track weekend (thunderhill) a week ago on my stock 91 15/16 setup with rt-615ks and couldn't have been happier with their performance. great way to go imho. i bought my set used for 250 with tires (not the falkens) from a guy semi-local. keep an eye out and you'll find a sweet deal, when i have outgrown the stock rubber i will probably go with 17/17 enkei rpf1's though...for now i need better brakes lol:biggrin:

I've been using Hankook Ventus RSS 205/50-15s and 225/50-16s Med. compound, tons of grip once they are hot, surprisingly good in the wet too!
