Good service or dealer in Austin?

Evening! After saving my hard-earned pennies for the last year, I've decided to start the search for my perfect NSX. There's a couple of local cars I've looked at and a couple not-so-local. Before getting in too deep with any one car, I'd like to find the person that's going to inspect (and do future work) on the car. I searched the site, and found the two reviews of David McDavid (one good, one really bad). I've also talked to a collegue that didn't have a great experience with an RSX and them.

Does anyone have any experience with the NSX service around this area, good or bad? I wouldn't mind driving to San Antonio or a surrounding city if there's an outstanding service station, however, two of the cars are in snap ring range, so getting the car flatbedded out of town is a bit of a concern.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

hmmm, there is a former David McDavid NSX tech' who branched off into his own venture, TYBRID PERFORMANCE. His name is Tyrone, and is a real nice & fair guy. The location is just off off Howard Ln. If you ever venture there, mention Umar (myself), he's real congenial & sincere w/ us NSX owners... =)

David McDavid has sold and serviced many NSX'es over the years so a PPI (PrePurchaseInspection) is more than within their realm. My NSX was actually a DavidMcDavid Austin serviced car, then it was serviced in Goodson in Dallas (where the then current owner resided).

All the bests' in your NSX pursuit! (Don't exclude Houston/Dallas from your search, they got alot of X'es there...

Goto the SouthCentral US Region Forum on 'Prime. Familiarize yourself w/ the posts there;many of the active NSX'ers in the area people post so you can get an idea. There you'll also see that there have been many meets/gathering for the Central Texas area owners. Austin/ RoundRock/ Pfugerville/ Georgetown/ Leander/ Killeen/ SouthAustin/ NewBraunfels/ San Antonio/ Tyler all have active NSX owners. There are also many owners in the Houston & Dallas areas.

Hi Nick~that's awesome to hear we're gonna have another NSXer here in Austin! I would totally recommend Tybrid Performance for all your servicing needs...Tyrone is awesome!! He knows everything about the nsx, he's super fair & never tries to screw you over and he's a really nice guy too.

I third the referral to Tyrone. He knows his stuff and likes NSX owners. Just don't be scared when you see the condition of his shop....
