Good place to install coilovers and do alignment in SoCal

I am going to be in LA for a week before I move to the bay area, and need to install my HKS HyperMaxII coilovers, and do an alignment before I drive up. Can anybody recommend a reputable, as well as cost effective place, to do this work? I heard the dealership at Laguna Niguel?

ps any idea how much the combined would cost?

Try a search for these shops to read member input. Since you'll be in Laguna Niguel, I'd go see Ramon at Niguel Motors for the install. He'll not only be the closest, but likely the most cost effective as well. West End Alignment is about an hour north, but Darrin is arguably the best person to see for an alignment in SoCal. Darrin can also corner balance your car instead of just adjusting your coilovers based on height. Few places are capable of doing that these days. He's normally booked up for a month or so in advance...

And I definitely would NOT go to a dealer to install coilovers.

i got my coilovers done and aligned from alex fipher whos a well known competition drifter and racer. He also corner balanced the and adjusted everything. He's very picky and takes his time to make sure its right. He works out of this shop called G-dimension which specializes in JDM cars

+1 for West End/Darin. Be sure to call ahead to make an appt as he is extremely busy. He's fair on his $$...not the cheapest but not unfair..well worth it.

I'd take it to Jon Martin at Cerritos Acura and then to darin at west end.

Yes do not go anywhere for corner weighting besides him....he's usually booked two weeks in advance.

Many shops do quality work. Not all shops can do alignment at the sametime.

If you want hassle free one trip for both installation and alignment try Dynamic Auto Service in Midway City. Price is too low btw. They installed and did alignment for Vance's NSX-R suspension. My NSX alignment was also done there.

I've had good experiences with Jon Martin, Autowave and Ramon.

And while Dynamic hasn't worked on my NSX, Sonny did work on my old 1997 LS400 a few weeks back and was absolutely fantastic. I think I posted about that experience on this board as well since I had seen a few recommendations for Dynamic. The shop isn't much to look at but Sonny is very knowledgable, honest, and does great work at fair prices.

I haven't used West End in a long, long time (since my S2K days) but back then West End was the place for alignment in S. CA.

Darin was great. He installed my Bilstiens and alligned the car for $375 back in January.

West End! Darin does top notch suspension work. I will not take it to anyone else for suspension/alignment work. He's prob aligned more NSXs than anyone else in SoCal.

yeah, but chances are he won't be the one doing the work on your car. He is the service manager.
