Does anybody here in the Southern California area like to golf? I figure with the class of people on the board, we must have some golfers. I'm just getting into the sport so I'm kinda curious. =) Perhaps we could even get a NSX Golf club going!

I golf any chance i can. I am not good, but i think that is the best part of the game. no matter how bad or "good" you are, there is always room for improvement. we should definitely get some kinda nsx golf team together and challenge other nsx owners nationwide. good idea!!!

Hey guys, I'm for it! But first I gotta find time to do this. As you know it takes a good 1/2 a day to play 18 holes, and I work 7 days a week, which is kinda tough. Anyway, just work up a day and time that we can get together and I'll see if I can make it work.

I play twice a week. Of course, an NSX is a great golf car.

I love seeing a Porsche pulling up to the drop area with a golf bag stuck in the passenger set. Ugh.....

This is great! =) We definitely have to get a group together sometime. I just went to the driving range today after work. Trying to get in about 2 days a week at least.

An NSX Golf Club with a rotating championship every year at various greens around the country. This could be an idea! =)

I am getting my NSX this weekend, so we have to definitely plan something for late august or early september. im available on fridays and saturdays.

Anyone have any recommendation for courses?? i know some great courses in LA area, clueless when it comes to san diego. i am on a tight budget, so it cant be too expensive. plus, i cant justify paying $70 for a round of golf, while shooting +40 over in the process.

This friday (8-16-02), i pray to GOD and cross my fingers. Maybe i should be praying to Buhdda since patience is a virtue, now that its been a month!!! the way i see it, its taken me half a year to get my finances straight and to buy one, so what is another month??? it only makes the heart grow fonder...haha

HOw's your Z running lately?

Well, since you asked......!

I just picked it up from Larry Garcia after install of Comptech headers, exhaust, and 4.55 R&P.

All I can say is, "Wow"!!

Great sound, so smooth, and with the R&P it really pulls hard.

Comptech SC next???

For you guys who play, lets start listing off the places that we frequent or would like to frequent.

I go to the driving ranges right here in Santa Monica on Pico, and I go to the one down near the LAX off of Manchester.

If you hadn't taken up on the offer, I'd be having my 2nd Zanardi in my garage by now. Lucky you!

Oh yeah, our rides are the best candidate for SC option, since we have the best of all worlds right off the bat, like JDm Type-S suspensions, rigid coupe chasis, and harder-pulling C32B motor. Too bad for me I'm into this no track driving policy, garage queen mentality of my #50 so slapping on any go-fast parts and body kits are out of the question. Hence the need for a 2nd Z in my garage for the tracks. Since your Z's got most of the goodies that came with it, I say Y-not with installing SC to complete the package?
Anyway, have fun and be safe!

I know the ones you are talking about. I go to this course in burbank called De Bells (one of my favorite) close to Castaway park, there are actually deers running around the course. In the middle of the city..go figure. ALhambra golf course is nice too, and Shorecliffs in San Clemente (tough course) is also awesome. All the courses that I mentioned can be played for about $20-25 walking and $30-35 with cart.

Oh yeah, by the way...Finally got my NSX, damn thing is like a bat outta hell!!! I have never driven such a fast car before in my life (still haven't taken it on the freeway). Gotta take care of all the paperwork and insurance before I actually start driving it legally.

If any of you guys come to Las Vegas give me a call and we can play the TPC of the Canyons, since im there almost daily i can get people on for 30 bucks(cart fee) instead of the $180 people are dropping down for green fees, this is an awesome course! Just thought i would let you guys know.

Khuezee, we gotta buddy up sometime. =) Seems like you're pretty active on here and now that you've got your car, we can start an NSX crew that goes on drives on a regular basis. Kind of like what we've got started down in SD now and sort of like the friends I have that drive Supras. I should show some of you the route we take in Malibu. It's a beautiful drive. But back to golf, I'm just starting out so I'll join you guys on the course when I'm good enough not to embarass myself. Until then though, if anyone wants to do driving range, I'm all for it! =)

vegasnsx, thats an awesome offer. =) very cool! i'll definitely look you up next time I'm in the area. Thanks!

Vegasnsx,

that is an awesome invitation. i will definitely jump at the chance the next time i am in vegas.

darkcyde,

yeah, we can definitely start cruising. i just need to get my plates for my car. the owner decided to keep the plates, so right now my car is naked and just asking to get pulled over. been working soo much that i havent had a chance to finish up all the paperwork. oh yeah, you going to go to the concourse d'elegance? im still waiting to see if the chick will put me on the attendance list.

as far as golf is concerned, dont worry about how bad you think you are. i suck that the damn sport and ive been playing for 2 years now. still cant break 100, and im usually hacking or slicing. but oh wells, so what if i cant be the next tiger woods??? driving an NSX is the second best thing.

Heh, you think the std. 3.0 liter NSX coupe is fast, wait 'til you get your hands on USDM Type S (ie. Zanardi). Ain't I right, John Anderson, or should I call you, Mr. Zanardi #45??
