Going to be in Arizona: Tucson, Phoenix..

Hi All!

I'm going to be in Phoenix this week to finally pick up my NSX.

I'm planning on arriving in Phoenix this Wednesday, June 11, but will need to leave the evening of Thursday, June 12. (So I can get back to Texas for NSteXpo!)

While I'm there, I'm going to check out some sights. I have a couple travel guides, but I would like get some input from the locals. Cosanti and Taliesin West in Scottsdale look cool. Any comments or other suggestions?

Also, I will also be spending some time in Tucson (I'll be there Tuesday and part of Wednesday). Again, any recommendations for sights, museums, etc.?

BTW: If anyone wants to do dinner or lunch, let me know. I always enjoy meeting fellow NSXers.

Hi Ojas, that's not very much time to spend here. I've never been to either of those places, but they sound good. Here are some other places around Tucson and Phoenix you might find interesting:

You're very welcome. Just be sure to call each of these places before you visit. I'm not sure about the road/parking conditions, there might be some dirt/unpaved roads. Enjoy your trip!

I really liked Tucson, which had much more to do and see than I expected (even after reading several guide books). Everyone I met there was nothing less than exceptionally friendly and pleasant. I was busy seeing sights for the ~2 days I was there and managed to squeeze in San Xavier del Bac Mission, Pima Air & Space Museum, and Biosphere 2 before I headed to Scottsdale to tour Taliesin West (all 4 places were absolutely great). After Taliesin West, I headed south to pick up my car from Basch's shop and drove thru the night to Dallas (for NSteXpo, of course)!

Ojas, glad you enjoyed Tucson, Phoenix and Arizona. If i would have read this thread i would have offered to meet up with you and TucAZNSX for some dinner. Ah well, hope the drive back went well.
