GM says Toyota quality is down

Uh, yeah. Toyota addressed this over a year ago, saying that they're quality was down. They also said that they were taking measures to remedy the problem before it became more of an issue. It really doesn't surprise me that GM would take the time out of their day to bash another car company that has steadily been stealing their customers for a couple of decades now, instead of addressing their own issues. IE - resale value, reliability, build quality. Not to mention the truck market. Toyota trucks now have the highest resale value of any trucks on the road.
Another thing...........If Toyota's quality is sooo bad, how come people are still paying above invoice for them, when GM has to slash their prices 10 g's to sell a damn car?

Absolutely! When GM buyers go to sell/trade in their "$26,000" vehicle they paid $16,000 for, they truly think the value of that car was above what they paid. They are dumbfounded that they are still upsidedown.

GM is desperate! That is obvious...

True.

One of the few GM vehicles I actually like is the Pontiac Vibe. Guess what, it's a Toyota vehicle rebadged as a GM vehicle.

Can GM honestly look at themselves in the face and call the kettle black?
