Has anyone heard from Gerard after he damaged his NSX at Spa a couple of months ago? How is it doing?
Got to give him BIG respect for pushing his car and using it for what it was made for. And he took me for a couple of laps, REALLY nice to ride in his car on that nice circuit.
Peter
I spoke to him a few times.
He's really busy with his work at the moment, and his nsx is still being repaired.
His car is going through same *major* changes, so stay tuned.
I dont give a toss about xmas. I worked (first time this year), and me sheila went to the animal shelter to help out with the cats.
Later that day i did some online gamming (just like every day realy), and second crimbo day i went to belgium to re-drive the tour we did earlier that year in the Ardennes with me Sheilas Civic Type-R (got stuck in a snowstorm ffs).
(For all non-dutch, we get 2 xmas days, so you get 2 days feeling sick off all the food)
Had some microwave food and sat crying next to me NSX, coz some IDIOT has run his towhook into me front fender.
Disclaimer: me Sheila's name is not Sheila...... o...forget it.........
Hello Gerard, sounds good, take your time and be carefull.
Iff you need any help please give some reaction, i have all the shopmanuals for the NSX at home so iff you need some information please sent me a PM or give me a call
I drove home from work yesterday in the snow in the NSX. Around Charleroi it was snowing heavily and not melting. Slippery as hell. My NSX does NOT have a limited slip differential, even if they say so in the brochure. A REAL lsd will be my next project after the quick steering rack. Does anyone have an NSX differential that is out of the gearbox? I want to take it to Quaife to show them...
Handbraking and drifting the NSX into a parking place was fun though.

I wish you all a happy New Year and keep everything "clean" (Peter!).
oh, my car is covered in salt and its even MORE dirty than when you saw it last! I want it to rain so the salt will be cleaned off. (carwash? What’s a carwash?). Hey Gerard, I see a little bit of dirt on YOUR car though!. In your photo, there, in the wheel well. Dirt. HA! Got ya!
Hey, Michel, say hi to shiela for me, will ya?
Peter
It sure does. Its them damn pressure plates in that diff which are the bottleneck, its NOT a torsen differential, why they have chosen for this plate type in the first place remains a mistery (works like a clutchpack, with all the trouble such as wear. Apparently the clutch type is more refined then the torsen, but it comes with a price).
If i recall correctly the NSX-R (NA1) has a second spring on these pressure plates to make it stiffer........... well, you get the idea.....
I also wonder what difference the oil you have in the gearbox has its affect on the stifness of the diff (i cant remember that it has been ever been discussed here on prime).
I think somewhere in 95 (???) they changed to a torque repsonsive differential for the NSX. Dunno if that type is a torsen (must be though since TORque+SENsing. There are a few aftermarket torsen LSD's for the NSX availble.
I think Mugen has one for the NSX...

No Accord anymore? I saw you have FRV now. Do you like it? I might be in for one too in 2006. When we meet somewhere in 2006 with your awesome widebody NSX, I like to know how you feel about the FRV.
Happy new year for you your family and friend, and "keep on wrenching"!

Sorry about this late reply. I have replaced my Accord for the FRV and I am very happy with it. It is a diesel and the spoiler kit is installed. I will chiptune the FRV next week. With chiptuning the FRV will gain 35HP and 60NM.
As you can see at the thread about my widebody project, the NSX is almost ready. I am still waiting for the wing and I have to do the diffuser. Now my NSX is as wide as a Ferrari F40.
