alright, i woke up thinking this would be a great morning to drive the nsx. it's been sitting in the garage for a few weeks.
anyhow, i cleaned the windows and mirrors just as i always do. when i wiped the mirrors they clicked and moved (nothing big, do it all of the time wihtout problems) so obviously they needed to be readjusted. BUT, when i try to adjust them with the remote the motor just automatically pulled the mirror as far in as possible and continued to click. (am i making any sense?) i have to switch the selector to right mirror or center postion to stop the motor from continually running. this happens on the passenger side as well. i have experienced similar instances, however, i typically can fix it by manually realigning the mirror (force clicking it into place). that doesn't seem to work this time. any ideas?

sorry for the looongg question but i must continue, since that isn't the only thing that i woke up to....

next i decided that a little heat in the car would be nice. turned the climate control unit on and it illuminated just fine. everything looked normal but no fan, waited for the car to warm and still no fan. tried the ac and no fan. nothing. silence.
any ideas? the notorious dead climate control unit with the replacement cost that'll backrupt small countries? argh.

oh, wait, one more thing...
i go to close my trunk (trying to air it out since my wifes left over pasta with garlic and oil – or better yet, garlic and oil with pasta is a better descripton – spilled in my trunk! ugh.) and the trunk open light on the dash stays on. where is the contact for that? is there an easy fix? can i unplug it?

thanks for taking the time to read my novel.

:^)

James,

I will start with #3. The light on the dash you are refering to is in the car shaped logo that also tells you the doors are open, correct? I beleive the indicator in the "trunk" position is actually the rear glass being opened, so check the rear glass latch.

#2 - The thing to check first is the fan/power resistor. You can get to them from the front trunk behind the spare tire. Service manual is in order hear. If the climate control unit seems to be funcitoning properly we can hope it is the less expensive fix.

#1 - I would try using the mirror switches to move the mirror to the farthest position, one way or another, then "click" the mirror back manually to kind of "recenter" them on their mechanism. (It's a long shot

thanks for the suggestions larry.
i'll give it a shot. one good thing is that when i restarted the car, the heater actually started working! the mirrors on the other hand are still screwy.

i'll check the rear glass latch. the car schematic in the dash is what i was referring to. it's the bottom most light. looks like a horizontal red line.

thanks again!

you seems to be ok.. as far as I know.. if the climate control is dead. the air indicator ( orange for recycling air, green for venting taking in outside air ) will not light.
