Gearbox removal

Guys,

I am planning to switch a 91 gearbox for a JDM short gear gearbox.

Are the links on how to remove and re-install the gear boxes and what part of the car needs to come out first etc....i.e. a step by step instruction etc....Do I just follow the electronic NSX manual?

Try the search function here inputing gearbox removal/transmission removal and not too helpful.

If you could get your hands on a service manual, it would be quite helpful. It gives step by step instructions.

While removing the transmission is still not the easiest thing to do it is fairly straight foreword. If you do not have a lift, it can be removed by putting the car on four jack stands; holding it about 2-3 feet from the ground. Then it is up to you, a buddy and a jack to get it out and you, two buddies, and a jack to get it back in.

I folowed the service manual step by step and it went smooth. I seem to remember it was a bit of a hassle to separate the gearbox case from the block. Otherwise it was straightforward.
