Had the pleasure of spending the weekend with Nick and his family from Applied Motorsports and rebuilt my gearbox under his expert and knowledgeable guidance....What a great time it was...

I had a main bearing go out...
You'll see the ball bearings missing from the carrage and where the pieces collected on the magnet.

I assume it was 'strengthened'.

How much? I've found that a normal OEM rebuild is almost as much as a a new transmission, so it makes little sense to me to do a OEM rebuild... otoh, if you get strengthened transmission, that's a different story.
