Gathering Interest.Stanless Steel Exhaust

Hey I was talking with local exhaust shop and I am trying to gather interest in how many people would be intersted if he can replicate GTone 5.1 exhaust/Route KS/Similar exhaust for half the price or less?
I can buy one and have replicate it or
we can do this as a group and do it as a team. What I mean by TEAM ( all the prime member) is we can figure out the design, name, the parts used, single tip/dual, we can all throw in couple of bucks for the whole process and than reap the benefits of getting a really good exhaust at a really good price and also we can hook up rest of prime with that price. This isnt to make money but to make the parts we need at the price it should be....
This can be the first of many parts we can supply our selves with to make this a less expenisive experiece for all of us.....

Pretty much I want to know if you guys be interested in designing an exhaust with our touches to it. Or if something works well than we can leave it as it is but make improvements where needed, if needed. We can have it produced here in USA, no wait times, great prices and ofcourse the sound and some hp helps. There is lot of knowledge here on prime lets put it to use...
We can do other parts if this works out well, like headers,etc...

I am trying to get ideas from you guys on how to approach this whole take on making a great F1 exhaust. I don't care to make money just to bring the community something good. No profit to me all; the product will be priced at what it costs to produce.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD ANYTHING YOU FEEL TO THIS THREAD AS IT WILL TAKE MANY OF US TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.

I want to do this as a group (ALL OF YOU IN IT) on how to make it, what options should it have. So if you ever thought " I want my own custom F1 exhaust" here is your chance help make your own exhaust. This isnt going to be my exhuast it will be OUR exhaust for Our community. So throw in your 2 cents please...and eventually once we have bunch of good ideas on how it should look,what size piping, to name it, etc We can vote on the final decisions. Won't it be cool to make our own products using our knowledge on prime and the hook ups on prime to come out with a few products like exhaust, test pipes,etc

Things to decide:
1. Should it replicate an existing exhaust that meets everyone liking? like gt1/routeks/taitec?
2. Or should we start from sctrach?
3. what size piping should it have?
4.
5.

What would be the ticket is if someone who does'nt drive their car as a DD were say to loan you their 5.1 as a template. Have your designer copy it as closely as possible, install it for a decent sound clip and bingo, I think you'd have your hands full of orders including me. Just my .02

How about something like the simple Tubi exhaust?
Or may be like the Sorcery F1 Exhaust.

I bought the "Anytime" prototype way back after production stopped. Quality and sound was awesome and that was just the prototype, not the finished product. So yes it can be done here in the US.:smile:

I've already talked to capristo they will make the Nsx an exhaust we just needed 10 units and they needed a test car. If anyone is intrested I can ask the U.S. sales rep to see if they will sell me the tips and muffler sections and fab something up. Just p.m. Me

I'll give you my input....

Build an exhaust similar, to the 5.1 with larger diameter piping...for the tips have it burnt dual tips with the option using a v-band to change it to single tips...try to price under $1000.00

If you can use all mandrel bends with minimal welds and no crimp bends...Good luck I will be following this thread.

I just sold my exhaust recently and switched back to OEM so I am in the market for a good sounding one especially since my car is now a DD.

Maybe you don't know how to read....But this is going to be a team effort I am not even the one selling them. I am only investing in it because I am tried off all the ripp of vendors we have here on prime. I am trying to get few people together and use prime members resources to come up with a prime exhaust which would cost prime members nothing but at cost. At cost will include the costs that some member are going to have to pitch in to produce and R&d. Lot of people want to upgrade at the same time not pay crazy prices or wait months to recieve it. I have few people who are allready working on getting us prices for the mufflers and tips. We are also trying to find an excelent welder to make this highest quality work it can be. This hopefully is one of many parts we can come with as a team for ourselves.

We need a really good welder with hopefully good price anyone know any one right for the job??
Joesph is working on getting mufflers and tips as we speak from a great F1 racing company Capristo..
If others know the right people please feel free to add your suggestions and lets us know how you can help.
Remember this for US by US...lot of members will benifit from this...Atleast the smart ones...

The person (prime member our resource) who will buy the tips and mufflers will need to collect money and when we find the person to weld it whoever resource that will be will collect money for that. Where did I ever say anything about ME collecting money, myself??? WHATS NOT CLEAR ABOUT TEAM that includes all of prime who are interested that you not understand? actually save it for someone who cares...learn how to read and understand what your reading first...

Difference is, Sonny falls under US law and is just a hop skip and arms reach away from a HUGE population of NSX owners. Very ambitious plan but difficult to make it air tight safe for every investor at all levels.

Tamoske on the other hand...... well that is a whole different league. Sonny is here in America and lives in the bay area and falls under US laws.

I don't care if I have nothing to do with any of the process, but I want to alteast get the ball rolling on Someone, anyone in the states who can make these at much better cost.
AGAIN we are just gathering resources at this point and getting prices on parts and seeing our options. than if it makes sense we can move further with this TEAM project......
