Does anyone have a schematic for the two circuit cards that are located on the back of the instrument cluster? I found a burnt transistor see attached photo. My tach quit working and this is what I found. Does the tach go bad and cause this? Any input would be appriciated! It would be nice to fix it for .50 if I could get a part number that I could cross referance. It won't let me attach the photo since I posted it in the parts wanted section. Thanks in Advance

Brian,

Thanks for the post, however what Im trying to find is the actual schematic for the circuit board. I had found the wiring diagram that you had posted the link to. Thanks for taking the time to post the link to it. I removed the dash cluster and found a burnt transistor, trying to find the actual part number or a comparable part to replace it with. Honda must buy so many parts that they get them supplied with a honda ref# on them instead of the actual part#, if I had the schematic then I could figure out if it's a power regulator or a pnp,npn etc. Then I could fix it for less than a $... Thanks again...Lyle

I rather imagine that you will need to contact Honda directly for the info you seek. Dealers do r&r on things like the circuit board but don't deal w/ the individual components on the boards. If you provide them with the ref. # they should be able to provide the info.

I'm not sure how to contact them directly however. Anyone with an email address or website?

I think getting actual drawings of the circuit-board, as in 'schematics' is next to impossible. I have been into car-electronics, and all schematics are kept locked away.

But really, you don't need schematics, all you need is a good board to check the partnumbers on the components, and replace them (if they are not customized), and get someone who knows electronics inside-out to find out the reason why the particular circuit went.

Maybe getting a used replacement is the way to go.

Succes
