G35coupe exhaust sounds great-anyone looked underneath?

I had a chance to drive a friends new G35 6-speed coupe and was mostly impressed, but I especially love the sound of the exhaust. Are there any muffler systems for the NSX that might result in a simular sound(deep and rumbuly) out there?

I am sure the new G35 coupe is a very nice car but I have not had the pleasure to drive or ride in one yet. I like the styling of the car from the rear and side view but I just can't seem to appreciate the front end. I dislike the headlights and the front grill. Everytime I see a new 350Z or G35, I can't help but LOVE my NSX that much more. As for the sound, I am pretty sure that you will not be able to duplicate it in your NSX.

Sorry, litespeeds but you sound so gay...

What is the definition of Gay? If it means Happy, then yes I am gay, especially when I drive my NSX 8^) I guess that is why I usually keep my comments and thoughts to myself. There is always a wiseguy like Yellowdancer who hasn't come out of the closet yet.

Huh? I drove a G35C and did not notice the exhaust sound at all. It seemed silent to me. Any chance your friend has an aftermarket kit on it? An intake or exhaust would increase the sound.

I too drove the G35 coupe and didnt ever hear the exhaust ONCE. And I reved it to 6K over and over. I thought I would hear it as it has HUGE pipes, but instead all i heard was the engine that sounded like a truck at high rpm.

Overall though, it is a gorgeous car.

I drove a G35 Coupe and simply loved the exhaust note as well. I don't know how some of you did not notice it.

The sound is throaty aggression perfectly blended with refinement and good taste. One of the best factory exhaust notes on the road today.

It is simply music to my ears.

We just bought one for my wife (automatic), and it's a great ride. The comments on the exhasut are right on, it's a terrific sound...if the windows are open. Otherwise the G35c is as insulated/quiet as a high end Lexus.

Highly recommend it as a second car to anyone facing brutal commute times.

I thought that the exhaust sound on G35C was okay. It sounded a bit boomy (for my taste) in 2k-2.5k rpm, but after that, it sounded nice

It's certainly an attractive car.
