FULL GALLERY - ALMS Pics!

Sweet Baby Jebus!

That couldnt have been the same event that I was at. My pictures look nothing like those!

Schooled, by the Lucas Scarfone house of photography pain again!

Damn. Those are awesome. Love the rain ones the most, but youve got some absolutely spectacular shots all through that gallery.

Blown away by those.

Lucas, great pictures! Love the shots of Derick's silver with the CE28's. Avatar changed!

(my car needs a wash  )

Hey Lucas,

Awesome pics....some of those pictures are 'magical'!! The cars really jump out. I would be interested in getting the hi res versions of your NSX pics. How much would you want for them. I really like the black and white frontal shot that you did of my car....I'm thinking of getting it blown up and having it framed!!

Thanks,
D...

I think Dave and I would like to sign-up for the Lucas school of photography.
We certainly have the equip (especially Dave's honkin lens) but as Dave says, its almost like we were not even at the same event!

Man! great shots.
How do you do it, time and time again.
The pics are even more precious to those of us that were there and can relate to the sound and speed of the event.

Ive looked at your pictures again Lucas and it is obscene how crisp you are able to get them at the exposure times that you are using.

Your exif data shows exposures of 1/250 or longer!!! Thats twice as long as the slowest I was using! No wonder your backgrounds look so awesome. Its pretty easy to get crisp shots of these cars if youre in a good postion and have good equipment, but its brutally hard to get a crisp car and a blurry background.

Thats where the talent is here.

Those are amazing Lucas.

Hey Guys,

Thank you all so much for your positive comments on my photo's! I love sharing my work with people who really enjoy it. I've been taking photo's for about 3 years now, even though I only use a Nikon D70 all the experience with the camera has enabled me to use it to its fullest potential. I really couldn't give any advice about how to take pictures, I don't really think about it when I'm doing it I pretty much just take pictures of whatever I think looks cool.

I am going to look through my folders and see if there would be enough images from the weekend to create a CD which I can make available for sale. If there are not enough images for the value then I won't make it because I don't want you guys paying for only a couple shots of your cars.

I'll let you know ASAP and thank you again for all your feedback! :)

EDIT: I have around 200 NSX pictures from the event which I could put on a CD for you guys. The cost would be $50 (including shipping). I would also put a bunch on from the actual race so you can remember the day. If anyone is interested please let me know via PM, email ([email protected]) or phone (905) 730-4359.

Hey Guys,

I really couldn't give any advice about how to take pictures, I don't really think about it when I'm doing it I pretty much just take pictures of whatever I think looks cool.

A true professional. You are too modest Lucas. Anyone can operate a camera but it is your eye that no-one has ! Your shots / composition convey your style and it is that style that makes you truly unique in what you do. Having been a photographer for over 10 years and with a wife that has a Degree in photography & film ( McGill university... Montreal ) we can attest to your talent, creativity, imagination and vision.
If you wish to pursue this profession, you will make it to the top of your field.

Beautiful work Lucas !

Bang on Rick.

This one just blows me away!

Theyre all completely unreal!

Wow guys, I really don't know what to say! Thanks so much for all your support you have no idea how much it means to me. I love coming out to all these events and sharing my passion with everyone who attends.

I am kind of at a turning point in my life now, having just graduated from highschool and trying to figure out that "Next Step". I am returning for another semester to try figure that out myself.

The only hesitation I have with doing photography full time is that I don't know if you could make a very good living out of it. Right now its not bad since I don't have to pay bills or anything, but long term I don't know if it would be a reliable source of income. I'm pretty new to the entire business aspect of photography, so if anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks again you guys are awesome!

Lucas

You are incredibly talented Lucas, but Im sure you'd make a better living doing something other than photography.

Best of all, you can continue to shoot regardless of what you choose. Just less dependant upon it.
