They're painted black. They fit very well although the right front didn't sit as flushed around the door area. It wasn't that bad but thought I'd mention it anyways so there are no surprises. Also, there are some light hairline cracks on the left front, barely noticeable but still there (it's not on the whole flare, only a small section). A good body shop can fix these issues if needed.
