Hi PRIME,

I am sadly listing my restomod 1975 Datsun Z for sale after she has sat in my garage for over 2 months. I've put less than 100 miles on the car since I've owned her and I don't have the time to contribute in making her run exceptionally.

I understand I may never get the opportunity to own such a rare beast again, but I'm giving this opportunity to someone else who has the time to spend.

Located outside of Knoxville, TN.

The issue:
Car will run, and runs up exceptionally. She'll spin all the way to 6500RPM and beyond, but has issues at idle. Should idle at 750RPM but instead idles at 500RPM with fuel pressure continually unsteady between 38-40psi ( car is tuned to 40psi solid at idle ).
She used to have a charging problem and this has been addressed. New fuel pump ( Walbro 255 ), new MS relay board, new battery, new alternator.

I suspect it's still an electrical issue, but I don't have time to chase it down.

Major mods, full list can be provided to a serious buyer.
- Entire car built 2 years ago. More new parts than the G35 I just bought.
-'82 L28ET, turned crank, bored 0.020 over with nismo pistons, 3 angle head, cometic 2mm, 440cc supra injectors
-T3/T4 Garrett hybrid w/ 2.5" DP, Tial 38mm WG with Tial 50mm BOV, 60mm TB
-Greddy FMIC
-Completely rebuilt BW T5 tranny from an '83 Turbo with Pro5.0 solid billet shifter.
-Ceramic clutch with nismo pressure plate
-Ford EDIS wasted spark coil system
-Tuned to 20psi on MSII
-Profec B Spec II boost control ( currently only running WG @ ~4psi due to fuel issues described above )
-Tenzo R seats with 4pt harnesses
-Autometer gauges
-ZG flares and Hella 4004 fender mirrors for that old school look
-15X10" Aero wheels with stretched 225/50R15 Kumhos ( you go find wide 15" tires and come tell me haha )
-Koni D's up front with Tokico HP's in the back. 225/250lbs F to R. Carrera camber plates. Heim joints.
-Dashcap
-NO tear in the headliner or anywhere else. Interior 9 out of 10 and only just because of age. Immaculate.
-Garaged
-Much much MUCH more

The cost of modifications is greater than the asking price for the car.

If you know anyone who wants an old S30Z in its ultimate form, pass this ad on to them.

The only trade I could think of would be an S2000 as I have considered them lately. I need something to tide me over until my next NSX or might just wait until after flight school to dab back into the sports world.
