I have an Arizona car that I now drive in CA and the cops want me to have the front plate on ALL THE TIME. It`s terrible to do that , looks wise, but I have to. What do you guys think is the best mounting alternative? Thanks Mike

We have the same law in Texas and although time consuming I took a picture of the plate in the front. When I've got a ticket I take the picture to the judge and:
CASE DIMISSED

Good luck

If you have to run a front plate for risk of getting a ticket because it is required in your state, than the Dali bracket is a good choice.

Or, you can just make one yourself that does nearly the same thing. This one cost me nothing as I just bent a piece of thin metal to make the correct angled L bracket, drilled the correct holed in the right location and bolted it all up. I prefer not to run a front plate. I did so for about 10 years with no ticket and only a few warnings every once in a while. However, the last few years they seems to have gotten a little more strict and I got tickets (On my other cars) for about $80 each. Also, the police seem to use the no front plate as probable cause to pull you over and check to make sure everything else is legal. Usually they let you go if you are all legal (Proper Recontruction permit and such), but if not it can be a real expensive stop.

or always tailgate someone close when you spot a cop........they will never get a chance to see your front end.....:D

We have the same stink'n law in WI. I refuse to run a front plate. I usually go about 3 years between being pulled over and just give them the excuse that the plate was stolen since its personalized, or I bought it without a front bracket or the front end was just fixed from an accident and the plate was damaged too!!! 1 out of 4 times it just gets me a fix it warning. So about once a decade risking an actual ticket is worth it to me not running an ugly front plate.
