The 2020 season will be the first that sees the German DTM series and Japan's Super GT adhere to a unified set of regulations, dubbed "Class One." This will allow the two series to compete against each other in a number of shared races, since the cars will be equivalent.

A major part of the regs relates to the layout of the cars. Every car needs to be front engined, rear-wheel drive, and powered by a 2.0 liter turbo four. That engine is already a big change, since none of the cars that compete in either series–BMW M4, Audi RS5, Aston Martin Vantage, Toyota Supra, Nissan GT-R, Honda NSX–run that sort of engine on the road.

they should use the civic type R

Now what could a front engine turbo 4-pot NSX look like I wonder ....

Super GT is pretty much NASCAR at this point. The cars are tube frames with the same engine and fiberglass bodies that resemble production cars. The "NSX" Super GT car hasn't been a real NSX since 2002. Thus, I'm kinda "meh" about the change since even the current NSX race car is barely related to the actual production model.
