Ok two questions for you guys that have done the 02 front conversion. I'm using the OEM bumper btw

1. What the hell do you do with the tow hook? After mounting the upper bumper the older tow gets in the way. So my solution was to flip it over so the angle works into the new opening. Basically. it's mounted up-side-down..right// wrong// remove? I really don't want to remove it.

2. The new headlights have a little mounting nipple with an rubber trim that needs to fit inside the fenders. Drill a hole to fit it? Cut it off "kidding"

I guess I'll drill a hole for these?
Everything else is going pretty smooth.

Ramon at Niguel Motors installed my tow hook - He was able to make this work by flipping it. I did cut off the mounting Nipple to install my 2002 headlights - and the headlights works fine.

Good luck on the install!

THANKS!! Jagtiger, I did flip the tow hook. I'll look at cutting off the nipple. I was surprise how much it moves out the light with it there.

buy the new two hook for 15.00 as chris said and drill your fenders for the headlight nipple (don't cut them off) that hole is what aligns and holds the headlight in the correct position on the outside front.

Yep I looked at it last night and thought it would be better to drill the holes.
Thanks Guys. I'll post more pics up soon on the progress

Charles,
My '91 fenders have slots cut into them for those 02+ rubber headlight nipples, rather than drilled holes. So the headlight nipple slides into the fender, and as others have said, it locates and holds the light secure. I wouldn't cut it off.

BTW, my neighbor Dave (NetViper) keeps telling me I need to buy your supercharger. Any truth to that?

Hi Dave
Interesting. I have the Honda factory fenders (blinkers behind the wheel well) and there's no slot. Let me look at the ones that came with the car.

Do it lol . Dave is trying to get me to go turbo. I gonna keep the setup as is for now.

I'm current working on my conversion as well thanks for this info, love the forums for stuff like this... just ordered a new tow hook & still don't want to cut the tab off but I don't want to drill a hole in the fender so maybe the tab will have to go.
