Front caliper revision - use of silicon grease?

I'm thinking about a revision of the front brake calipers. The SM states that the piston and cylinder should be greased by brake fluid (in contrary to the rear ones where it states to use silicon grease. Why not on the front?
In the front only the seals get two different type of grease but not the piston/cylinder (as per SM). I'm confued about that.

I'm no expert but I use silicone grease on all rubber that is exsposed to the weather (CV boots, brake pin and piston boots, etc.). It does get a little on the brake piston surface but I haven't had any problems. I think it's referring to when you assemble the caliper they want the seals and pistons wet with brake fluid so initially there are no dry spots to possibly rub flat spots. My $.02.
Happy Motoring!

I was thinking about possible air pockets. I'm still wondering about the difference between front and rear...

When you install the rear pistons you need to rotate them into position due to the emergency brake system, so the silocone helps the boot stay in place without turning. No need to do that in the front, you just push them in;).
