There's no such thing as an "NA1 front" or an "NA2 front". NA1 and NA2 are the engine codes for the 3.0-liter NSX engine (available 1991-2005) and the 3.2-liter engine (available 1997-2005).

The NSX was sold with two front ends. The 1991-2001 NSX featured the original front end with pop-up headlights, and it was sold with both the NA1 and the NA2 engine. The 2002-2005 NSX featured the revised front end with fixed high-intensity discharge headlights, and it too was sold with both the NA1 and NA2 engines.

Other parts are needed if you want to switch between the 1991-2001 NSX and the 2002-2005 NSX, in addition to the bumper parts you have pictured above. For example, they use different hoods and different headlight assemblies.

lights, hood, front bumper new bumper beam supports or cut your originals, and the center rubber can be cut to fit. I just did my " path to Imola " build and modified a few parts to match the OEM parts

also front lower spoiler and you need to modify some alum to brace the lights to the rad support. and drill a hole into the fenders for the headlight prong support

yes someone has converted from bug-eyes to pop-ups Docjohn or DocL would know the link as I remember them talking about it at some point with a link
it was done correctly not jury-rigged like another red 05 we all saw.

has anyone done the reverse? - gone from the Frog-eyes to the Flip-ups?

Theres actually a car on ebay with a reverse conversion. Its an 05 too.

Okey, i'm not on track with my info but you seem to know what i was talking about.
I forgott to say that i already have the -02 headlights and wanted to go for the facelift look.
I also know about the hood.

I fill in nr 9 and 10 on my order, do you guys see anything more i'm missing to do it right?
Thank you for the SOS list, i'm going to look at that also.

The list I posted included part #8 and #16 (headlight brackets) from here: http://www.hondapartsunlimited.com/...nual/electrical-exhaust-heater-fuel/headlight

When I did my 02 front conversion, I was missing a few screws and I had to get them from HomeDepot as a last resort. If I were to do it again, I would get 4 of these: 33108-S0A-J01 (these are the screws for part number 8 and 16 mentioned above). They are pricey, but at least you now you are getting the right screws.

Also, make sure you have the headlight gaskets as well to keep out dust and bugs (10, 11, 13...2 of each)

Do the SOS brackets replace the need for any of the OEM parts list or its an addition to avoid cutting/drilling?
and is 12 needed (looks like 5mph bumper) or is it the same for pop ups and bug eyes?

Thanks again for the clarification.

The SOS brackets provide 2 mount points for the OEM headlights (front side and front bottom). All of the additional parts needed that are different than reusing the ones from your popups are on post #7. Part #12 is the same throughout the years.

Thanks for clearing this up; I guess cutting is still needed as it is to make room for the headlights shape?

the cutting is only needed for the headlight beam adjustment. its needed trust me.. but I have done so many now and everytime I just wanna bang the area you need to cut with a hammer just to bend it enought to fit LOL but it would look like shit

Yea, Shawn is right. The cutting wasn't that bad to me. IMO that was easy. The wiring for the headlights is what has me worried!
