guys...I need to a good shop to take my clifford alam off. Who do you know? I quit driving my car for 2 weeks, and the battery is now dead!!!! sucks!!!

You sure it's the alarm Pooh? It shouldn't suck that much juice .... should be able to keep that little LED flashing for months! Battery may be on the outs ...

You might also consider investing in a Battery Tender -

Of course I prefer the one I suggest

I'm sure you will find many willing folks to remove that alarm system and take it home, including me. There is another issue going on if your losing your charge from the system, the alarm doesn't draw enough IMO. Happy New Year

Gil, if you can remove it safely ...you can have it. it has an automatic window closing feature too. I think i have 2 remotes...but need to look.

Sounds like you have a dying battery and/or it's not getting charged fully. The extra parasitic drain from an alarm is not enough to impact a healthy fully charged battery in just two weeks.

Pull the battery, charge it to full, then load test it and check the voltage. If it checks out, then you should have your alternator checked. If the battery is dead, you should check the alternator before replacing the battery. I think a couple of those autoparts stores (NAPA, Pepboys) will check the alternator and battery for free. Call ahead to see which ones.

I take it back....3 weeks:D it happens once before, i jump started the car..and been fine til now.

Mine does this after 1 week. It only started happening after I installed my Clifford Matrix alarm. I arm both the Factory alarm and the Clifford. Is this normal? Or am I going to need to get a new battery?

I posted this thing like a year ago. ....and I didn't forget about 714motoring.org, I just didn't remember I had this problem. :D I bought one of those charger thing.

Tan, stop calling people looser :D

Guess you must have forgot about 714 Motoring. But you should definitely invest in a Battery Tender like Ken mentioned. Let me know...
