I located some sturdy mesh screen made to cut and use as a front radiator guard/grill. Take a look:

Can anyone tell me how hard it is to remove the front bumper so I can "hot-glue" this mesh in place? Couldn't find anything in Search.

Thanks everyone!

I like the plastic stuff better

That is cheap stuff that you find at Home Depot in the rain gutter section.

This is the best solution:

Better than the plastic ones.

I called RaceMesh and they don't make a screen for the NSX. Said they could custom makr one for almost $300 and the bumper would still have to come off for install. Ouch!

^ +1, I like that stuff Bat! Have you used it and is it hard to install?

I didn't buy my rear valence SS poliched mesh grills from them. Bought it for $100~ pre cut from a vendor (that I forgot who it was) on ebay motors.

Exactly the same stuff.

To my knowledge, my NSX rera valence is the only one that has the bling bling rear grills. All others (when i park next to other NSX at meets) look so cheap and like an aftermarket car kit.

Seen one in person.

Hideous and cheap.

Again - looks after market from Home Depot.

Here's something to consider: Comprehensive car insurance to cover "acts of GOD" and just about everything that happens to the vehicle besides collision.

Example:

U drive the NSX on the freeway and the car in front of u kicks something up that breaks ur radiator. U collect $$$ for an OEM and for either a similar price or for a little more u upgrade ur radiator.

Is there anyway to install these screens without removing the front bumper and/or scratching the paint? I just can't believe nobody doesn't make a screen that slides right into place much like is offered for the C6 Corvette. I am not as interested in protecting the radiator as I am filling the three holes for cosmetic reasons. I just think the three holes in the front bumper look like they are missing something.

Welded wire mesh from Mcmaster is only $.84 per square foot:

Weld wire mesh 81% open area

They have just about any size/shape/thickness/material you could ever want:

Removing the front bumper isn't rocket science.

I can probably remove and put it back in less than 20 minutes. It helps with two people, but isn't completely neccessary. There are only 6 bolts on the front, 4 bolts on the top near the radiator and another pair of nuts to remove under the front wheel well. The service manual is missing some of the bolt location, but a search on prime will easily tell you where it's at.

Just protect the front fenders with blue painters tape when you go to put the bumper back on.

This is a good opportunity to put the NSX-R bar on also, if you haven't gotten them yet. You don't have to remove the bumper for this, but it's easier if the bumper is already off.

Try this store, Industrial Metal Supply (IMS). They have a warehouse in Phoenix also. They have a lot of different metals you can use for a grille. They have some nice honeycomb patterns that are similar to the Lambo front grilles.

Take a vacation here to San Diego in the NSX. I'll do for you in my garage.

Does anyone have any photos with the bumper off showing how you attached the mesh? Are the adequate locations for glueing to hold it in place? Did anyone fasten using a different method (screws, etc.

Thx

Great question....I am also looking for the answer!

Someone a grill on a sports car only looks good with a small footprint.

The grill tends to interrupt a smooth airflow and perhaps reduce cooling efficiencies as well.

For those that are concern with road debris damaging the radiator and A/C condensor, then there is something called Comprehensive insurance, which from my MANY claims, has NEVER raised my insurance rates since it's not considered my fault......
