Found a Free Autocheck Site

I'm not sure if everyone knows about this free autocheck site or not, but I've used it quite a bit. There are daily limits and monthly limits on VIN searches, but still works very well.

You just have to request an access code, then you're off and running with FREE autochecks! Enjoy!

This site no longer works for me. This does though:

Step 1: Go to Google
Step 2: Search: dealer autocheck inurl:vin
Step 3: Look for a very recent result with some sort of car dealership affiliation such as: http://moonhonda.com/inventory/autoc...FF28BX9D208011
Step 4: Replace the VIN at the end of the link with yours & hit enter.

Doesn't seem to work, just got a message saying they've reached 4000 vin searches so I guess they have a max for a set time period.

It does work. But for some reason I got this message today too. It says on the very bottom that the site should be back to normal tomorrow.

I run many autochecks this past week on that site.

Looks like if you make a donation it will allow you do do a VIN search. Anything over $0.32. Maybe I'll donate $0.33 and see what happens. After tomorrow though as I want to see if I can get a free check first.

Try the 4th post in this thread. Works pretty well! I haven't compared the results to a carfax or autocheck but all the basics seem to be listed. Curious to hear if anyone digs in and compares the 3 for a given vin.
