Check out the crap they list on ebay, such expertise, and the true NSX enthusiast that is selling it. ;) Just in case you had the extra $10 laying around, not only could you get an extra 20 horsepower, it is guaranteed for free replacement if it ever breaks and installs in only five minutes....now the only thing is that you have to actually find a 1988, 89, or 90 NSX.:D

What's next, Yosemite Sam mud flaps? They might add 5 horsepower because they reduce your drag coefficient.

I sent this question to the seller, we'll see what kind of venomous crap I get back.

Your ad says 1988-2003 NSX, 1991 was the first
year. We in the NSX community are getting tired of
Ebay scams, which is what your ad seems to be
(read is). I doubt you will get any bids, as NSX
owners can see through this type of 'fabulous deal'
for what it is. You get what you pay for in
life, and $10 won't buy a power increase in an NSX.
From your description it is obvious you don't own
and NSX and have no idea what your 'intake'
device, that is apparently a computer chip, does.

Email the vin to your NSX, if you actually have
one. Otherwise, get this crap off ebay before we
report you.

Have a nice day.

That's right buddy, take your crap and shove it! The only way to get 10hp for $10 is to add two racing stickers to your car.:p

Actually, with two stickers you get at least 20 hp, 10 per sticker. ;)

I hear you get more horsepower if the sticker is for a brand/part that is not actually installed on the car, and even more if it is a part that is not even capable of being installed on the car. LOL.

He must have thought the NSX was a vette.;)

So I'm guessing the way to go with a NSX is get about a dozen of Edelbrock, Mopar and Holley stickers and your good for at least 50hp!:p

Here is the verbatim reply from my earlier inquiry of the seller:

**

Hey no i dont have an nsx sorry i only know that
these mods fit models 1988 and
up.. hey thanks for the tip so i can change it
thnaks.

Hardly inspires confidence.

Check out the feedback. Every one I looked at was for the same item he is selling for the NSX, which is apparently a universal part. Oddly enough there is more positive than negative, but many of those seem to be from people who had not installed it yet.

I think you'd have to be insane to put one in your NSX, but I could be wrong. ;)

When I clicked on the link, it said at the top,
Welcome (my ebay member name) - whats with that?????
Thats a little disconcerting - how did that happen? I guess somehow an e-bay cookie automatically reports it? But i am not even currently signe din to e-bay
Makes me nervous when stuff like that shows up .....

You don't have to be "signed-in" for e-bay to know who you are since the cookie still resides on your computer regardless of whether or not you are signed-in. You'll still need to sign-in before you can perform a transaction.

I can understand why you'd be disconcerted, but it's just a personalization thing (they go by the id of the last person that signed-in from on your computer), no different than what Amazon or any number of other sites do.

Just delete your cookies on your computer and you should be fine the next time around. The only problems is I now have to sign in every single time I go to any forum.

From the ebay post " Part #ans. This mod fits ONLY on 1988-2003 acura nsxs. Don't see one listed for the vehicle in which you have Please feel free to e-mail me I may have one. One of the greatest things about this is that it Can be easily installed in about 5 Minutes. This Comes With everything you need to allow the extra horsepower also comes with easy to follow instructions and pictures. Can easily be installed by yourself no need to pay a mechanic. This modifies your stock ecu with a resistor. This will give you up to 20 extra horsepower and also more torque. You don't need any experience, Just 5 minutes of your time no tools needed. Yes it does work. I Installed one on my car and I can tell a great difference off the start and more power at faster speeds. This works with your Stock Ecu making it think that the air coming through the intake is cold air which advances the timing to 5-6 degrees. Which makes the engine produce more power. This modification does just about the same thing that Ecu Upgrades and Jet Chips do, WHY PAY $300-$400? When you can buy this much cheaper. I will also give a Guarantee on this, if your modification burns out or breaks I will send another one free. Please e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns before bidding on it. Winning bidder to pay $1.00 for s&h. IF YOU USE THE BUY IT NOW OPION SHIPPING IS FREE!. Thanks and good luck!

Before I read this I thought it might be the little tin-can torbo we've seen before. I saw the results of one of those being sucked into the engine - it needed to be rebuilt. So nowt every NSX owner is immune to this cr@p but hopefully this board is :p

If you dont like it just do a search on your computer for *@ebay* and delete the file that shows up.

this one doesn't even qualify for 1988-1990
