Recently I installed the SOS HID kit in my 97-T and found that the fogs look very dull in comparison to the HIDS (they don't light up at the same time though)
I just replaced my foglight bulbs to Piaa 1156 Xtreme whites the new bulbs give the fogs the HID look without changing to Raybrig or other HID units ($1000.00 +). I also changed the corners to Piaa 196 wedge superwhites. These few changes make a world or difference and give the car an updated look. They also only cost around $50.00 CDN.

You can Pick up the bulbs at Performance Improvements.

The lower lights on the Canadian car are not intended to be fog lights and they are not intended to be particularly bright. They are daytime running lights, and they are intended only for other drivers to see your car, not for illuminating the road.

I would strongly recommend NOT changing them to bright lights since they will be on at all times and can blind drivers coming in the opposite direction.

The lights are aimed more towards the road as only a visual aid for others to see your car as you had stated. I made sure to check if the lights would be blinding others at all during the daylight hours. Also the low stance plus 1.2" drop helps keep the lights at a level that won't disturb others. The daytime running lights turn off once the headlights are raised so it shouldn't cause any trouble during the night hours. Although I will keep an eye out for others flashing me. If I find people are annoyed I will remove them to be courtious. (and avoid the cops)

Thanks for the heads up.
