Hey wait...my gas money that went to that country paid for that Lambo!! MY CAR!!! NOOOO!!!!
I really hope there's not even 0.000001% that you really believe that?!?
The real Dubai:
bus-drivers, taxi-drivers, cooks, cleaners, roadworkers, electricians, sanitation-workers, builders, construction-workers, oil-men, maids, waiters/waitresses, clerks, telephone-technicians, landscapers, irrigation-diggers, port-workers, carpenters, plumbers, heavy-equipment operators, airplane-mechanics, diesel-truck technicians, freight-cargo loaders, desalinization-plant workers, tailers, launderers (sp?), bakers, machinists, butchers, welders, traders/sellers, painters, blah bla bha... they all live at a level at what would be considered lower-class by U.S. standards.
Those w/ the Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and Rolls Royce's are either of
entitlement/decree (royalty/government-ministry/family-estate) or
entrepreneaural magnates no different than William Gates, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump, or Oprah Winfrey. Oil or no oil, those two cliques would be livin' large w/ beach-front bungalows, yachts, and VIP protocol.
Buying gasoline from Exxon-Mobil, Shell, Chevron-Texaco, Sunoco, Shell, BP, Conoco-Philips, Hess, Marathon, or Diamond Shamrock doesn't buy Lambo's! It just makes Exxon post the highest profit ever earned by an American corporation ever, and BP post the highest profit ever earned by a British corporation ever!
On topic, yes... those countries (Middle East, South Asia, etc'...) have sloping/graded speed-breakers that are managable at a certain, acceptable speed (ie. 45mph) but above that, they can be dangerous! Driver's from those areas should anticipate such near areas of crossing, airport/train-station/bus-depot, intersections, and merging/yielding areas! Speed-breaker mounds and roundabouts are inexpensive replacements for stop-signs, accel/decel lanes for merging/yielding, and stop-lights.
Painful to see such an expensive car to be destroyed so randomly!?! :frown:
