fixing trans-> replace clutch save $$ on labor?

Getting my trans fixed (after snap ring failure). If I replaced my clutch at the same time would this save me on labor?

Norm,

Definately, they have the trans out anyway. I have mentioned before that the case change (snap ring fix) should be around $1500 with labor, (no goodwill savings), however when they get the trans out it will probably be time for a new clutch too!!! So take the $1500 add $1250 for the dali clutch and flywheel,and your out the door for around $3000, with a bullet proof setup.

Thanks, i am having the clutch checked out too...i know it wasn't slipping but don't know how much life is left.

Actually just saw the avitar around on the web...ironically i work for Motorola developing the next generation Power PC (apple)
