This was my first attempt at detailing. This is also the first black car i've owned but I think the results are pretty descent.
I used a Porter Cable 7424
3M polish for dark vehicles with Edge Orange Pad
Finished with Klass AIO with edge black pad.

Overall it was pretty easy. From wash to wax it only took about 2.5-3 hours.

Very nice work. Did you find the PC easy to use? How long did it take you?

The PC got some getting used to. But after a few minutes it became easy to use. Your forearm gets a workout but its a lot easier than by trying to polish the car by hand.

Nice job. Want to do mine? Save you from having to go to the gym for a work out.

Looks good. Black is definitely the most rewarding color to clean.

black cars look the best after a fresh detail, but not so good the next day :frown:
A few wipes with this and you're as good as new

How does it look in direct reflecting sunlight from 3 feet to 3 inches on macro mode? That's the real test. Otherwise it looks clean!

looking good... how do you get on your driveway without scrapping the bottom ?

NSX at its purest, such arcane thoughts come to mind.

How do you like AIO? I've been stubborn on my OP w/ white pads then topped with PB's sealant and then Meg#22.

Looks great. The PC is a good set up for a do it yourself. I use DuraGloss spray on synthetic wax for in between detail so it will have that wet look and protection. Carnuba shines better but synthetic last longer IMO.

Probably due to the angle of the driveway vs. the sidewalk causing the suspension to load unevenly.

i agree
see pix below. street is down hill
