Finished installation of lots of SOS CF goodies

Nice stuff. I like that diffuser!

I have the S-TAI wing and thought it sat a bit high for my tastes. I lowered it about 2 inches and I'm much happier. Seth@SOS did something similar for his CF NSX and the XMod NSX.

Man, looks like you didn't need the CF... you were doing pretty well without the big wing. :D

That's the stuff that wins car shows. Does the wing impair vision out the back at that height?

I like the wheels and the CF with the exception of the that huge wing.....sorry it looks terrible. Otherwise the car is nice.

I second that! That huge wing got to go...of course..just my not my taste.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Neo, the wing doesnt obstruct my rear vision at all. Its actually better than the stock wing. With stock you can see it on the bottom of the rear view mirror but with the S-TAI you dont even know there is a wing back there. The wing will flex a little back and forth when going over gravel or a bumpy road but overall its solid.

FuryNSX,

Do you have any pics of your NSX with the wing lowered 2 inches?

I found this picture but it looks identical in height as mine....

Try my picture page from JGTC with the NSXCA parking shots. You should find pics of my car there. I made new holes 2 inches higher and didn't get around to either filling the old holes or trimming off the (now) extra 2 inches of the FRP uprights. I am also considering getting shorter aluminum uprights made but need to find someone who can do that work.

FURYNSX,

Great pics of your car at JGTC! I thought about how you lowered your wing by drilling holes 2 inches above the existing on the fiberglass sides but then you are left with either trimming or filling in the old holes. What about just drilling holes 2 inches lower on the thick alumunim feet instead. It should drop the wing and fiberglass sides and cover the old holes.

Hey!! Nice car!! That looks kind of familiar.... ;)

(*What year is yours??)

Mitch,

Identical twins seperated at birth? Mine is a 92. I bought my Prodrive's through SOS. I wasnt to fond of the steel chrome lug nuts so I switched to Rays anodized black extended nuts.

This pic looks more like yours than my current pics....

Nice!! The cool thing is that you have some of the parts that I am looking at, so now I can see EXACTLY what they would look like on my car.

By the way, why are the center caps not on your wheels??

Mitch,

As for the center caps....I opted not to buy them because they looked like they were plastic and cheap to me. Instead I sanded down the front center hub, and rear 36mm nuts and painted them flat black. It looks alot better than looking at the rust.

Drilling the holes in the FRP was the easy way to see if it looked good. I thought it would be easier to drill holes in that than in the aluminum. :) (IOW, it's easier to fill screw ups in the FRP than in aluminum, eh?) :p
