So after a couple of years and much ado, I finally felt that I'd done what was necessary to make the car track-worthy, and signed up for an event with this car. I've done several HPDEs and track days with My MR2 Turbo, but this was my first event with my NSX.

The car put up with ~1.5 hours of track time in the Alabama summer with not so much as a whimper. The HP+ pads were definitely overpowering the stock-sized sumitomos, but the tires put up with the abuse pretty well. I was being a bit gentle as I was learning the car, but I can definitely see the potential.

As a side note, the car ticked over 224,000 miles in the 3rd session of the day

So, some video (and pardon the intro...I was excited, and a bit bored this afternoon). Please critique away (the driving, not the video...), I've already made several observations after watching them myself, but I'm curious to see what the more experienced set has to say.

Last session of the day (dry):
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/bf_nqFzF8WA?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/bf_nqFzF8WA?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

2nd session of the day (pretty wet):
<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q8UrnfI5fYw?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q8UrnfI5fYw?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

"mods" are listed in the first video, but so it's clear:
1992 5MT
Stock motor
Dali "Type Q" sways
Hawk HP+ F&R
stock-size Sumitomo HTR-Z

(also, for the paranoid among us, I have a baffled oil pan and a balancer shield installed)

Ok, I remembered the one real question I had from this.

How do those of you not running fuel cells keep track of how much gas you actually have in the tank? I started the first session with ~1/2 tank, and notice after a few laps that it was showing almost empty. Once I parked after the session it went back to like 1/3 tank. I'm assuming this is just slosh, but I was definitely guessing most of the day.
