Maybe he meant Micro on the cameras. On Sony's it look like a flower. You push the button to take pics on a magazine and able to read. If you don't use it you will not be able to read the print from the camera picture you have taken.

ISO is a metric of exposure time versus aperture. On your pictures that came out kind of dark if you'd tried a lower ISO setting your aperture would have stayed open longer and you might have got a better balanced picture.

? Not sure what you mean... by magazine ? This is a Kodak cam.

Eeks. I'm such an amateur at this. Was just psyched to get a cam. It's not a great camera (I had a nice one but lost it while visiting Puerto Rico). I haven't read the manual yet but will most likely by the end of the weekend.

Sorry for the bad example

It is a button you press on a camera to be able to take a picture of anything small and super up close. If you try to take a picture really close such as a new paper you will not be able to read the paper on your digital picture files if you have the button off.

I mention this button because I realize that the lettering on your speedometer is fuzzy. After pressing the button it will be able to focus up close and your speedo letter will not be fuzzy. I think most camer has this but you have to find it.
