i ran it for you. clean title history, possible odometer fraud.1988 ford mustang gt.
3-22-99 registered with 96,269 miles
3-14-01 registered with 10,196miles
does the odometer click over on this car after 99,999? that could be the answer. otherwise everything checked out ok.
california car also.

I just checked my '91 Mustang GT's odometer and there is only room for 99,999.9 miles. The only difference, to my knowledge, between the '88 and '91 instrument cluster is the speedometer. I think the '88s only read 85MPH, mine reads 140MPH. Good Luck.
