'Feeling' the NSX when driving

Yesterday I drove to a friend and while driving it started to snow. By the time I got to his place it was extremely slippery and I could not apply any throttle without starting to slide. I was regretting I hadn't taken my FWD Citroen.
Driving back home under only a bit better circumstances and seeing other people pass me on the highway I was thinking on just how much I can 'feel' the NSX behave at all times.
What I mean is that when I'm driving the NSX, especially under wet & slippery conditions, I am very tuned to any signs of the car braking loose in a corner, the tail starting to slide or tires being close to lock-up under braking. When I'm taking a long turn on the highway I can feel the car 'taking a set' before turning in, like it is shifting weight from one side to the other. Maybe I'm being overanxious, especially in the wet, because I don't want to damage the car but I really feel like I notice every little movement of the car. And it is not that I am not driving relaxed or anything because I am.
Even when driving my other car it feels like I am much more in contact with the car and its behaviour than I used to be before I bought my NSX.
I wonder, do other visitors here have the same experience?

I know exactly how you feel. With a center of gravity and a center of moment in the middle of the car - the car tends to turn in very well under dry high performance circumstnaces.

Yet with the stock rubber, stock alignment, and in snow/cold or in the rain with low tread it is damn near the scariest driving experiance you will ever have.

I had planned on making this my "daily driver" including the snow/winter but have since decided to drive my dad's SUV (folks winter in Florida) as I don't think that without serious winter rubber the NSX is a managable solution in the snow.

I won't drive my car in the rain. Snow? Fergettaboutit. I'm not even sure my wipers work -- haven't used them in years.

BTW JimK, how did Lexol work on soiled NSX leather seat? Never know when something like this might happen to me on wet days 'cause the treads on my Z's front tires are practically gone!
